Chapter six was about context and limitations. I love that art can have limitations. I am a major rule follower and sometimes my creativity is hindered because of this. However, Erwin says that “Great art is not limited to its canvas any more than it is limited by its medium. Great art transcends boundaries and travels in the infinite space of the human soul.” Wow. I want to create art like that.
Reading this chapter has reminded me that I don’t need to have the nicest camera or the best equipment in order to be a successful videographer. I don’t need to graduate with a Graphic Design degree in order to design professionally. What I do need to do is stop making excuses and practice the work I want to pursue, so someday it might be mistaken for natural talent.
